Having graduated from Robert Gordon University with a BA Hons in Communications with Public Relations, I have both knowledge and theory of communications, as well as over five years of marketing, events and sales experience.

Drawing on a diverse range of knowledge, with previous experience of working in-house and agency, I am a highly motivated, hard-working, ambitious and organised communications professional.  I have strong industry experience in a variety of sectors including: education; tourism; food and drink; life sciences; technology; energy; aerospace, defence and marine; public sector; construction and business services.

Content marketing is a key element in the modern marketing mix. With a keen interest in writing and communications, I understand the importance of content making an impact in client markets. I have knowledge and experience to develop strategies, content and the delivery of content including liaison with media partners – online and offline, to communicate client messaging.

I have worked on local, regional and national PR campaigns in the UK, and global campaigns across Europe, USA and Australia. Creating effective and clear communication strategies for clients is key to all campaigns and this work includes developing and building strong media relations, on-going media engagement, content development, campaign delivery and offline and online monitoring and review.

Internal communications and employee engagement is key to the success of any client’s marketing. I have supported clients in best practice and helped run workshops and focus groups in support of this. Internal strategies have included the introduction of staff newsletters, face-to-face employee interviews, team engagement projects and marketing mentoring.

I have developed digital marketing strategies for a number of clients that not only creates an online presence and increased brand profile, but also drive traffic to the site. Key digital strategies can be developed across your complete online profile including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn with activation plans and daily scheduling arranged.

I have managed the creation of various websites in the energy, food and drink and business services sectors. I have good experience and am IT literate with content management systems (CMS), WordPress and Squarespace as well as a strong understanding of search engine optimization (SEO).
